Lutes by Ivo Magherini

Lynda directs Chordophony, an exciting new lute ensemble, combining four of Britain's finest lutenists with cutting edge musicological research and the only matched, custom-built family of renaissance lutes in the world. Since its professional debut at the York Early Music Festival, the group has performed at the Lufthansa Festival, and presented a concert series at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. They also contributed tracks to a recording by His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts. In 2013 they made their international debut at the Laus Polyphoniae festival in Antwerp. They have recently recorded parts of the soundtrack to the film 'Bill, a comedy about William Shakespeare, using the cast of BBC TV’s 'Horrible Histories' programmes, due for release later in 2014.
